When Your Stories Find a Home

A few weeks ago, I wrote something different.
Not about dashboards or strategy or the things I usually talk about.
But about movies, books, and the more subdued aspects of myself that don't often surface online.
To be honest, I wasn’t sure how people would take it.
It felt personal almost like letting someone into a room I usually keep locked.
But then the responses came in.
Thoughtful messages….Surprising conversations.
People sharing their own favorite films and books, some with stories behind them.
It felt less like “content”…and more like two humans talking across a table.
That stayed with me.
It made me realize something simple:
maybe this part of my life didn’t need to stay in the background anymore.
And so, this blog is my way of continuing that conversation and giving those stories a home.

🎬 Cinema — Frames That Think for You

Cinema have always subtly entered my life.
It's where I discovered empathy on my own.
where I've encountered individuals I'll never actually meet,
and where I've comprehended feelings that I haven't yet experienced.
Indeed, I'm obstinate about this.
Movies should be viewed in their native tongue.
Voice is emotion.
Emotion is story.
And dubbing often washes away the soul.
When I watch a movie, I’m not chasing plots.
I’m looking for that one moment, a frame, a line, a silence that shifts something inside me.
This space is where I’ll collect those moments.

📚 Books — Quiet Teachers for a Loud World

Books entered my life softly.
Not as a habit, not as a discipline but as a kind of refuge.
Some books helped me name feelings I didn’t have words for.
Some slowed me down when life felt too fast.
Some simply sat with me on days when nothing else could.
As I grew older, I stopped reading to finish books.
I read to find pieces of myself inside them.
That’s what this space is for those pieces worth holding on to.

🌱 Why This Matters to Me

When I shared that first blog, I wasn’t expecting the kind of response I received.
Your messages and recommendations made me realise something simple but important: there’s space here for conversations beyond work.
That’s why I created these two pages.
Not as a big launch, but as a place where we can keep sharing the films and books that stay with us.
Thank you for encouraging me to open this side of my world.
And if there’s a story that has stayed with you, I’d love to hear it.
Here’s to the ones that shape us, quietly and slowly.
